TNFD Assessments

Assessments of nature-related risks, dependencies and impacts following the TNFD LEAP approach, for companies, investors and lenders.

Overview

The TNFD asks organisations to show where their business depends on and affects nature, and what that means for risk and opportunity. Most of that work is desk-based. It is built from your operational and supply chain data and global nature datasets, with site evidence added only where a location is material.

TNFD Assessments

How we approach it

We follow the LEAP approach: Locate, Evaluate, Assess, Prepare. We map your operations and value chain against global datasets on biodiversity, water and land use to find priority locations. We then evaluate dependencies and impacts by sector, commodity and site, and assess which risks and opportunities are material to the business. Where a priority location needs more than a desk review, our ecologists and remote sensing team can add satellite or field evidence.

What we deliver

  • Priority locations across direct operations and the value chain
  • Dependency and impact analysis by sector, commodity and site
  • A register of nature-related risks and opportunities, ranked by materiality
  • Metrics and targets aligned with the TNFD recommended disclosures
  • Draft disclosure text, consistent with CSRD ESRS E4 where you report under both
  • A record of data sources, assumptions and limitations

What you receive

A LEAP assessment your sustainability, risk and finance teams can use, and disclosure content an assurer can trace back to the analysis.

When you need it

Use this when you are preparing a first TNFD disclosure, when investors or lenders ask about nature-related risk, or when you need to know which sites and suppliers matter most before setting targets.
